12-14th century Shakujo staff

• Material: Iron
• 75 cm high
• The height is measured without the base
• 12-14th century / Kamakura period
• Was carried by high ranking priests and also by Bodhisattva Jizo with twelve rings symbolizing the twelve steps of causes and effects and two stupa crowned with the sun and the moon.
• A few paper documents were found inside the staff, see the last picture.
