How to Meditate
To begin with meditation, first of all, we should keep ourselves CALM and FOCUSED. It is obvious that our mind wanders all around and get lost in multiple thoughts. It is not wrong as it is very natural for brain to keep thinking. To bring our mind control, we meditate.
Start with breathing and concentrate on it. Once we build our focus on breathing, we later on will use this focus to build insights. The ultimate goal of Buddhist meditation is to create mindfulness.
"Awareness is the KEY!"
People often place a Buddha statue in front of them to develop concentration. Start with a 5 minute meditation practice.
- Take your seat: Cross-legged is more preferable.
- Sitting posture: Hands on your thighs. Relax
- Concentrate on breathing: Be attentive while you breathe-in and breathe-out. FOCUS.
