Originating from Burma, the statue embodies the Mandalay style, which is known for its intricate details and serene expressions. Each piece is often thought to encapsulate the teachings and values of Buddhism, serving not just as a decorative item but also as a spiritual symbol.

This particular statue adopts the Bhumisparsha mudra, a gesture that signifies the moment of the Buddha’s enlightenment, where he called the Earth to witness his struggle against the forces of Mara, symbolizing the overcoming of temptation and ignorance.
