The Bhumisparsha mudra represented in the statue signifies the moment of enlightenment, where the Buddha calls the earth to witness his attainment of truth, anchoring the principles of mindfulness and grounding in Buddhism. This gesture reflects both humility and strength, resonating deeply within Buddhist teachings.

Originating from Burma (Myanmar), this statue reflects the rich cultural and religious history of the region, where Buddhism has thrived for centuries. The Shan ethnic group has a profound connection to Buddhist art, often blending traditional motifs with local craftsmanship. Such artifacts were traditionally used both for worship and as a part of daily life, serving as a reminder of the teachings of the Buddha.

Weighing in at 63 grams, this statue not only holds aesthetic appeal but also an enduring legacy that speaks to the spiritual journey and artistic prowess of its creators.
