Originating from Thailand, the Rattanakosin style emerged during the late 18th to early 19th century, characterized by its elegant proportions and meticulous detail. This period is often seen as a revival of the traditional Thai art forms, combining elements from the Sukhothai and Ayutthaya periods with the influence of the Western world. The intricate detailing on the statue exhibits traditional Thai aesthetic principles, emphasizing beauty and serenity.

The seated Buddha is depicted in the Dhyana mudra, symbolizing meditation and deep contemplation. This gesture emphasizes the Buddha’s teachings on mindfulness and focus, which are essential to the Buddhist path toward enlightenment.

The statue's weight of 1.03 kg and dimensions of 12 cm width and 7.4 cm depth make it a substantial piece for any collector or spiritual practitioner.
