Lavastone Buddha statues
Lavastone arises after a volcanic eruption from solidified lava and can be grey, black, brown or red in color.
It can be found at all places where volcanic eruptions have been taken place. The word 'Lava' means sliding the liquid lava.

Many Lava is extracted from the Merapi Volcano on the island Java in Indonesia. The last eruptions were in 2006 and 2010. After the eruption of the volcano, several decades have to be passed until the lava is suitable to carve Buddha statues.
